7 Months

I am truly blessed. I get to come home to Isaac's beautiful smile. As you can see in the photos below, his smile lights up his entire face. When you are up close and personal with him, you can see his two tiny teeth that have popped through his bottom gum. I pick him up and he grins and plays coy, as if he is shy. He is too cute!

On Monday, October 28th we were having a regular, uneventful evening at home.  Eric and I were playing with Isaac on his playmat...keeping him contained more than anything else.  I went to the kitchen to make dinner and Isaac noticed that I left.  He started crying and was visibly upset, after a few minutes he totally, without a doubt, said, "Ma, Ma..."
I heard it as clear as could be.  I don't care that the experts say babies don't know what they are saying...my Isaac called for me.  As soon as I came back in the room, he stopped crying and smiled at me! Moments like these make it all worth it. I love him so very much, and wouldn't trade motherhood for anything, but there are moments when I must admit that my Isaac is a handful!

Isaac loves:
  1. Crawling-he never stops moving! He is everywhere.  It seemed like one day he was on all fours rocking back and forth and just trying to figure out how it all worked and the next day he was off and crawling, just like that.
  2. Playing with anything that's not a toy-the hallway and kitchen are perfect spots for exploration. It just so happens that Solly and Mickey's water bowl contains untold treasures for tiny hands.  Although he has a variety of toys to play with, electronics are the real gems.  He bypasses stuffed animals, books, balls...and zeros in on the remote, computer, iPad, and pretty much everything else. It's uncanny.
  3. Climbing-he loves to climb on everything; his bouncy seat, the walker, Mommy and Daddy.  He also loved to be held upside down. I have a feeling this boy is quite the daredevil!
  4. Staying awake-Isaac still doesn't really sleep very much during the day, but he does okay at night.  Now waking up in the mornings isn't really his favorite thing to do, he usually wakes up crying; but let's be fair, who loves getting out of bed in the mornings? Certainly not me.
  5. Peek-a-boo-Isaac loves to play peek-a-boo.  He's really good at it too.  He knows where to look and even catches on when you try to pop up on the other side of his bouncy seat and surprise him!  Smart boy!
  6. The Chica Show-a cartoon on Sprout Channel featuring a chicken family (all puppets) who run a costume shop. As far as young children's cartoon go, it's pretty cute!
