29 Weeks

Isaac will be here in 2 1/2 months.

This amount of time simultaneously feels like forever and just around the corner. I have moments each day that I can't wait another second for our son to be born and I also have moments each day that I want him to take every minute of these 2 1/2 months. Although I can't wait to hold him, gaze at his nose and tiny fingers, and cuddle him endlessly...I feel that there is a lot to do to prepare for his arrival.

I realize we have 2 1/2 months, but for goodness sake we only have 2 1/2 months!
I can honestly say that I have enjoyed being pregnant; the morning sickness only lasted for a short time and it truly wasn't as bad as I've heard other moms experienced. However, being jabbed and kicked from the inside out is quite a wild feeling. It seems Isaac has found my ribs, and he quite enjoys using his tiny feet to kick me...as often as he can. I don't know if this is a sign of his personality; but, if so, he's quite the firecracker. Not that he will come by such a personality honestly by any means; I am the quietest, most peaceable human being around...just ask my younger sister!
On second thought, don't ask her. Just take my word for it.

      Welcome 2020! Welcoming a new year is always exciting and new; like a journal that has crisp unblemished pages. I always feel prepared to make resolutions and set new goals for myself; I don’t always keep my resolutions and goals, but I do enjoy making them. Maybe setting a resolution for keeping my resolutions...what a novel idea.       I’ve even talked with the kids about setting a goal and I think they are considering it. I gave a few suggestions and we talked about what goals were and which ones they could accomplish, so we will see.       Isaac, our big FIRST grader, is one of the funniest boys around. He still has his own way of pronouncing various words, like “combvine” instead of combine and “facipier” instead of pacifier. He’s the cutest kid. Baby L.

December 2, 2013 Eric and I found out today that we are expecting another baby. Baby L is due August 3rd. Needless to say, this news is exciting but a huge surprise. We talked about having another baby and thought we might try when Isaac is 3 years old or so; but clearly, God has other plans. The good news is that His plan is always better than ours; so if He wants us to have another baby, then a new baby is exactly what we need!
